DLG is collaborating with the District Forest Protection Department and the People’s Committees of Nghĩa Phương, Đông Hưng, Vô Tranh, Đông Phú, and Lục Sơn communes to establish sustainable forest management household groups for FSC certification. This effort ensures a sustainable source of materials that meets the high standards for export markets.
So far, field surveys, awareness campaigns, and training sessions have been completed, with nearly 2,000 households registered to participate. By 2024, approximately 4,500 hectares of forest in Lục Nam are expected to be FSC certified, with the goal of reaching 8,000 hectares in the near future.
